We had a very poor experience with Depa Ramen. Everything was already discussed months beforehand, but still they were not able to do it on the time they told us themselves. It took multiple (sometimes unanswered) phone calls and 3 false promises of "we will be there on that date" to get it finally placed. Even the building firm we were working with was annoyed by the way they acted. When they eventually came, they apparently did it even wrong for 50% of the installations. So they had to come back again... After weeks of mailing and calling, the issues are still not fixed. All issues started with DEPA not doing what was agreed beforehand. I will not work with DEPA ever again, and neither would I recommend it to others. Save yourself the trouble and find somebody else
In confidence, and on the advice of our architect, we had all our carpentry work done by DEPA. It now appears that DEPA used inferior material for the base rail of our gate. When we contacted them about this, they denied installing the gate, despite providing proof with their invoice, and refused to help us with the repairs. DEPA is a scam. The subsequent response from DEPA's manager is incorrect. They clearly distanced themselves from the substandard work performed at the time, claiming they hadn't installed the gate, even though I was able to refute this with the original invoice. Fortunately, the majority of the work was carried out better, and I immediately pointed this out. However, a company should treat its customers honestly, EVEN AFTER THE AGREEMENT HAS BEEN COMPLETED. DEPA's manager has failed to do so. Referring a customer to a company that doesn't address the issues raised is cowardly. As long as a company is not bankrupt or in liquidation, proper customer service is part of normal interaction between clients and contractors.
On March 28th, we sent an initial email to Deparamen to report a loose sliding window handle. Two emails and two phone calls later, the technician arrived on April 19th to perform the repair, and our sliding window can now open again. We are delighted. The repair was carried out efficiently by a friendly technician.
There are several reviews about the poor after-sales service, and I can unfortunately confirm this. Seven months ago, a window broke (even if you try to open the window fully, it stays in the tilt position). Numerous emails and phone calls later, Depa Windows still hasn't found a way to repair the window. They also refuse to provide information about the parts or profiles, so I have to look for another repairer. Think carefully before doing business with this company if after-sales service is important to you. If anyone can help me with the contact information for a company that can repair the hardware (Roto brand, see photo), I'd appreciate it. Update The window has now been repaired, as Depa indicated (after 14 months). I understand that parts can be difficult to obtain, but even so, communication could definitely be better. I've updated the review to 3*.
Unfortunately, communication is a major problem at Depa. There was a lack of clear communication from the sale to the final finish. During the installation we were told that it was not the first time that the seller (Joris) sold something that was not possible/was not requested in this way/etc. We were also told that we should not actually install block windows and that regular windows would also work. The surcharge for block windows was +700€!! Money thrown away for us. The finish also leaves much to be desired. The installers, on the other hand, were very correct and clean. It was the first time for us and therefore also the last time.
